Who are we?
The Society was founded in 1890 and has met continuously ever since. It is believed to be the oldest society of its kind in the country. We seek to achieve a good blend of talks on literary, historical and other topics. We also have some debates. Members come from various parts of Wirral and beyond.
Meetings (NB new venue from October 2024)
We meet fortnightly on Tuesdays from October to March. Start at 8 p.m. (tea/coffee from 7-45). Finish approximately 9-45. Venue: Trinity with Palm Grove, 63 Alton Rd, Oxton, CH43 1UZ. Parking available.

Join us
It is open for anyone to join, or to attend as a guest with no obligation. The cost of membership is £20 p.a. (£35 for a couple). Meetings are conducted in a welcoming, relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
